We have scheduled our Christmas Concert!
CARROLLTON will be back with us for our Christmas Concert on December 9, 2017 in our sanctuary. The plan is for this to be an acoustic concert.

Carrollton at the Union Church – April 26th 2015
On December 4th, 2014, we brought Unspoken back for an acoustic Christmas concert. We had enjoyed the guys so much when they had been here with Jason that we were excited to have them back. They didn’t disappoint! Their show was a lot of fun, and you came away remarking just how talented these guys were as well as how much they loved pointing people to Jesus.
Jason Gray “With Every Act of Love” Tour
On October 4th, 2014 we hosted Jason Gray’s With Every Act of Love Tour. This was a fun show that featured Jason (of course) as well as Unspoken, Lindsay McCaul, and the band Carrollton. It was a neat event, because Jason performed with most of the other artists at some point during the night, and it was really a worshipful evening.
Jason Crabb in Concert
On March 23rd, 2014 we hosted Jason Crabb a the church. Jason was someone who was not as well known in our area, but he is a hit recording artist in his own right. He put on a phenomenal show, even though he was battling a cold. Everyone who met Jason came away remarking how genuinely kind he was.
Josh Wilson Christmas Concert
On December 5th, 2013, we hosted Josh Wilson in our sanctuary for the first stop of his Noel tour. Josh came with his band and performed several of his hit songs as well as a number of neat versions of Christmas songs. The whole evening was a lot of fun, with great music, and an atmosphere that really helped put people in the Christmas spirit!
On August 17th, 2013, we hosted the Sidewalk Prophets at the La Harpe School gym. Though the turnout was far less than we had hoped for, the guys put on a great show and everyone who was there enjoyed the concert!
On July 30th, 2013, we hosted Josh Wilson in our sanctuary. Josh came with his band and performed several of his hit songs. It was a wonderful evening of great music with great people!
Brian Free and Assurance
On April 13th, 2013, we hosted our first Southern Gospel concert. Noted gospel quartet Brian Free and Assurance performed at the Union Church to a full house. They were a lot of fun!
Mark Schultz, Aaron Shust, and Jonny Diaz
On April 7th, 2013, a couple from our church (John and Angie Louden) sponsored a concert to help defray the costs of adopting a child from China. Mark Schultz, who himself was adopted and is also planning to adopt a child from China, agreed to come and be part of this special event. This was a larger concert and was held at a larger venue, Burlington’s Memorial Auditorium. It ended up being a great evening!
Jason Gray Christmas
On November 28th, 2012, we hosted Jason Gray for his Christmas tour. We were the first stop on the tour, and this was a special concert, because it was the first time that Jason was actually headlining a tour. So the first stop of Jason Gray’s first headlining tour was at the Union Church!
Francesca Battistelli, Sidewalk Prophets, Andy Cherry, and City Harbor
On October 20th, 2012, we had the privilege of being a stop on the Hundred More Years Tour. Francesca Battistelli was the headlining artist along with Sidewalk Prophets, Andy Cherry, and new artists City Harbor. It was a great evening of music and worship!
Jason Gray Solo
After having met Jason and being exposed to his music for the first time as part of the Mark Schultz Renaissance Tour (see below), we were excited to have Jason back on his own on October 29th, 2011. This was a unique performance. We had the privilege of having him for a concert at the church, and then he stayed the next day for worship and Sunday School. He played a song in each service and took questions during the Sunday School hour. It was wonderful to get to know him as more than just an artist, and begin to get a sense of who he was as a person.
Mark Schultz, Jason Gray, and David Klinkenberg
This concert was the first time we were part of a tour production, and it was the first show we did that featured multiple acts. We hosted these three men on March 19th, 2011, and it proved to be a well-attended show that also was full of wonderful music and stories!
Tenth Avenue North–2nd Time
We brought back Tenth Avenue North for a second concert after we had such a great experience with them the first time. This concert was August 29th, 2010, and it was HOT! We were fortunate to be able to bring them back, as they had achieved a great deal of success since the first time we had hosted them. They had just released their second album, “The Light Meets the Dark” and had recently received the Dove Award for best new artist. It was another awesome show!
Tenth Avenue North
Our first experience in hosting concerts was with Tenth Avenue North. We were able to get them just as people were starting to hear about them and as they were beginning to get more popular. That concert was on November 16th, 2008 and was a learning experience for us. One of the things we learned for our future concerts was to take pictures! Unfortunately, we don’t have any from this first concert.
